1. It's not smart to be against what God is for and vica versa. Balaam kept asking God if he could go curse the Israelites. We always need to seek to stay on God's side! 2. God will always stand in the way of our sins--whether we heed him or not is our choice. 3. It is God curses and blesses--not man. 4. It is better to seek to SERVE God rather than USE God.

Why would Balaam speak for God and then in the next instance tell the Midianites how to lead God's people astray. It's hard to believe.
