Tell us what you think about today's reading.  How did it affect you?

  1. Ahhh, complaining. It's so displeasing to the Lord and yet it is so easy for all of us to do. I love the people's comment when reminiscing about their wonderful time as slaves back in Egypt, "...the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic. But now we have lost our appetitie; we never see anything but this manna (i.e. Bread from Heaven)." Doesn't this remind you of every college kid that has eaten at the Caf.? We should be so careful about this and so thankful for what the Lord has given us.
Complainers also wear people around them out. Moses said, "Did I conceive these people!" In other words, why do I have to put up with this foolish behavior. Let's also not wear out our leaders with foolish complaining about unimportant things.

  2. a favorite quote by God to Moses when he doubted God could provide enough meat for everyone, God said "Is the Lord's arm too short?" Unfortunately we all doubt at different times about various things, but God's word is always true & He always comes thru for us!

  3. It seems like God is saying, "What do I have to do for you to have faith? I split the Red Sea. I rained down bread from Heaven. I have appeared in a pillar of flame. Can't you believe just a little?" I remember Jesus saying basically the same thing to his disciples.
