I remember in an earlier day's reading how Moses was commenting to the people about how they are so blessed, because what other nation has these noble and wonderful laws. Indeed, I can't imagine another nation having laws that protect the poor, such as in the section of Lev. 14:21-32. God remembers them and gives them ways that they can worship. Through the Jubilee He doesn't allow a family to be desolate forever. It also strikes me that the year of Jubilee would keep individuals from amassing huge amounts of land and property.
