some favorite scriptures from today's reading: deut 1:26-33 "there you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a father carries his son..." deut 4:19-14 "teach them to your children & to their children after them." deut 4:25-31 "...seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart & with all your soul." in deut 1:41-46 God had to discipline the israelites, they came back to Him & cried, but He turned a deaf ear, just as we have to do w/ our children in order to teach/discipline them. At all costs we are to avoid idolatry in any shape or form - God makes this VERY CLEAR! I felt sorry for Moses when he pleaded w/ God to go to the promised land & God denied him. it seems so easy, keep God's commandments & all will go well w/ you. But life happens, things get in the way, it's a daily struggle at times, but the key is not giving up & keeping the faith!!
