I enjoyed today's reading. I was amazed at how corrupt Sodom was. I also thought it was interesting how Abraham and Lot reacted to the destruction of Sodom. Lot hid in a cave and we never heard from him again. Abraham continued to live a life of faith. The things that happen to us or that we experience in life can break us or make us stronger.
I don't understand why Lot told the crowd not to harm the strangers because they were under his protection, yet offered his own daughters to them. Of course, these daughters were the ones who also ended up having an incesteous relationship with Lot, so does this say something about the effects of living in an immoral society?
it's hard to comprehend the sexual perversion of Sodom, but unfortunately our country is headed in the same direction w/the acceptance of homosexuality as a normal behavior
