I liked the commentary comment, "If there is any encouragement however, it is in kowing that while there is bad in the best of mankind, there is also good in the worst." I am impressed with Abimelech here and I am bothered with Abraham. I don't know how he could have sent Hagar and Ishmael out into the desert with only a little water and food. Why didn't he give her a few servants and a small flock and some way to support herself. Perhaps, he thought that God would provide for them.
